Camp Cancellation Policy
Before May 1: All Main Session fees are refunded except the $100 Application Fee. Cancellations of Bonus Week, Before Care and Extended Care Programming are fully refundable.
After May 1 until midnight of the day before Main Session begins:
Main Session fees are only refundable if a replacement can be found.
Cancellations of Bonus Week are fully refundable.
Cancellations for Before Care are refundable less a $25 cancellation fee per camper.
Cancellations for Extended Day are refundable less a $50 cancellation fee per camper.
The day Main Session begins: After camp has begun we regret that refunds are not available.
Drop off/Pickup Procedures
Our traffic pattern for drop off and pick up has changed! Please review it carefully and be familiar with it for the safety of everyone! The new pattern will help us fit more cars in the parking lot and reduce congestion on Westmoreland Street.
Below is a diagram of the new traffic pattern. If you prefer to park and walk your camper into and out of camp, please park in Tiers 1 or 2.
During the first few days of afternoon pickup, we will have police officers to direct traffic to help expedite the process.
What if my child will miss a week of camp?
Camper Absence Policy
If your camper will be absent for five or more consecutive days of Main Session due to a pre-planned family vacation or overnight camp attendance, you may submit a written request prior to the first day of camp (June 24, 2019) for one of the following:
Said camper may attend Bonus Week at no charge; OR
You may donate an amount equal to the fee for one (1) week of Main Session to our Camp Scholarship Fund, and receive a tax receipt for that amount.
Your camper’s Bonus Week enrollment or your donation amount, whichever is elected, will include Extended Day Programming, to the extent that your camper is enrolled in Extended Day for Main Session. No refunds will be issued retroactively or in cases of suspension / behavioral absence. Your request will be finalized when you receive written notification.
If your camper will need prescription medication during camp, please bring the medication in its original packaging along with your Medication Authorization (signed by your child's doctor) to give to our clinic aide. If you have an Allergy Action Plan, please submit that as well. All authorizations and medications must be current and not expired.

Camp Rodef Shalom has a strict no-nit lice policy. We conduct individual lice checks on all campers and counselors on the first day of camp. If nits (eggs) or lice are found, pickup is required. Treatment must be completed before returning to camp; a Re-check by the camp clinic aide is necessary before resuming camp activities.
How to Contact Bunk Staff

If you would like to speak with your camper's bunk counselors, please contact the camp office, and we will be happy to assist you in communicating with them. We ask that you limit in-person conversations with bunk staff so that they may devote their full attention to their responsibilities. Most questions should be directed to the Unit Supervisor for that grade.
As a general rule, we do not give out staff contact information without their express permission.
