Activities
When Travel Campers aren't on the road, they get to be on-site campers and participate in many of our daily specialties, such as Cooking, Mad Science, Woodworking, Sports, Drama, and Music.
Campers will have an opportunity to select an elective to participate in once a week! Elective topics include STEAM, Yoga, Martial Arts, and many more!
Once a week our campers will have a chance to cool off at the pool for free swim.
Travel campers play a large role in our week-long Color War, and usually have the most imaginative and elaborate entries in our Bunk Decoration and Lip Sync Competitions. They have special Social Action activities and Shabbat programming on Fridays.
They also get a chance each week to hang out, relax, and spend some time together!
Leaders In Training
(7-8th)
Campers in 7-8th Grade participate in weekly training in preparation for becoming our next generation of counselors. Each Travel Camper is placed in a bunk with younger campers, and are mentored by current bunk staff to gain valuable leadership experience in dealing with everyday camp situations.
Members of our Leadership Team provide further support and mentorship through workshops designed to foster critical thinking and considered decision-making. They also provide support in bridging the transition from camper to counselor.
Completion of our Leadership Training program and feedback from Leadership Team and bunk staff are given considerable weight when it comes time to make hiring decisions.
